Hi Folks

It's time to announce the next showcase and quite simply its just called 'Guitars'. Now I dont care if you're a Mike Oldfield guitar god (or even if you are MIKE OLDFIELD) or you sample guitars on your Audio Workstation, anything goes as long as you have a Guitar or 2 in it. The style can be anything, dirty rock, classical to spacial guitar ambience, it's up to you.

Remember this ain't a competition just a bunch of like minded people getting together to showcase their music!

The deadline will be Midnight (GMT), Saturday 11th February (or 5 weeks from tonight).

Thanks to all who have taken part in the first showcase. There have been some great tracks!

4th Eden (Martin)

Thanks for sorting out the theme for the second showcase, Martin.

Not much in the way of replies on here yet, but then it's only been a few days.

I'm working on a track with piano and acoustic guitar (and probably a bit more ;-) ) which should be ready in the next few days - and then I'll upload it.

Cheers,
Terry.

Of course... as I said, I do not mind how the guitars get added as long as there are guitars even if that is virtual guitars... thats how I will be doing it as I dont play guitar!

Oh, it's Martin, not Mark.
By the way, how's your back?

Look forward to it Terry... just got back home from Devon so hope to start planning a track soon... my xmas pressie to myself was Guitar Soundscapes by Big Fish Audio so I suspect this might have a part in the composition!

I've just uploaded my next track for showcase no.2, and if Martin would be so kind you can all find it there soon.
It's taken me the whole month of januari to finish this since i'm no musician. It's slightly out of beat and out of tune here and there, but it's the best i can and even with all flaws i'm pleased with the result. Please give it a listen, and i hope you like it as i do.
My admiration for the real musicians here was already present but has grown again.

What you hear is a tambourine being looped, the rest is me on acoustic guitar. No instruments were harmed during this recording.   ;)
