Stats time In case anyone still cares

Total individual downloads for songs I host at Soundcloud  532
Total Plays  1577

This does not take into account the artists who host their own songs.

A comment for Ugo's Quicksilver mix  .."I got this when you guys first released it...and truly, it is a genuine remix... I love it to bits. Very excellent job here.
It currently sits at 22 downloads

The faithful beauty of the stars by Tubular Tos is at 98 downloads ..well done Phil.

The special edition is sitting at 34 downloads for part one and part two has 29.

The revamped website had 922 hits on day one and still gets between 25/60 daily.

Okay so it's not the 4000+ the original had but that had the benefit of Facebook and Mikes birthday.

All in all a triumph   :D

Now lets never speak of it again    :)

Someone here once told me that the worst critic of a musician's work is the musician himself. This is very much true for me. I don't think my "remix" [if we may really call it a remix!!] is "a genuine remix" (at least, I don't see it that way) and mostly I don't think that it's a "very excellent job". It was done in what is pretty much an off-the-cuff way, and with a very unperfect piece of software which you use at home, called U-MYX. I myself see it just as a simplified version of "Quicksilver"... without the stuff which doesn't sound Oldfieldian enough to me, and with some rearranging in the rest to make it all sound slightly more Oldfieldian, always to my ears. :) If I had had a chance to do it as a formal studio production, I'd surely have done it much better.

Anyway, I am very happy about that comment. Things like that really make me blush.

By the way, now that you mentioned remixes, Cam: is a new drum track from you on my drumless "Angélique" anywhere near completion? :D

Ugo I was about halfway done when I realized I was pretty much just rehashing the album version.

Now back to the drawing board, this time I'm trying a Nick Mason approach... Stay tuned  :)

If that fails I'll "Wing"s it Joe English style, lots a ride cymbal

Thanks a lot, Milamber. As I said in my original e-mail message to you about your drumming addition, I would warmly recommend to you to get as far as possible from the album version - what I really don't want is for "Angélique" to sound just as electronic as the album version. Also, I wouldn't recommend you to try impersonating any particular drummer or to try imitating any particular drumming style. Just be yourself. Just let yourself go, like you did on the "Progressive Mix" of HR Part Two. :)

P.S.: On second thoughts, your Wings suggestion sounds good. Maybe you should try a Paul McCartney/Band on the Run approach - AFAIR Macca himself played drums on that album.

Where can I find this u-myx program? I'd like to remix some light and shade myself.
