Plain and simple - tell it as it is. Anybody hitting the first page has an idea what it is. :)

You could do that simply by putting the finished piece in a folder with that name. But it just seems rather a dull name for the album itself. If I were a casual visitor to the site I certainly wouldn't be interested enough to want to listen to anything with a pedestrian title. But as Milamber said, a vote will settle the issue.

When it comes to the Album name ask yourself.

Could Jesus microwave a Burrito so Hot that he himself could not eat it...

I sense a bribe in that choice, Wiga!

And what's all this about bags and coats? You were teasing Cooper Roy about that sort of thing in another "thread" as well.  :D

This might be an acceptable compromise title:

The Tubular.net 2011 Album: Knights of the Bell.

Comments? The first part of the title could go at the top of the artwork, with the remainder going below.

I'm kind of willing to toy around with Nightspore's aversion to the word "song" and push it even further: The Tunes of Tubular.net 2011!

Or...

The Tubular.net Album -- Tunes from the Bell Labs (ta-dum, pish!;)

Switched On Bell -- Revenge of the Fans

Switched On Mich -- If Walter Carlos Can Become a Woman, Why Can't Fans Become Musicians?

If Mike can say "Amarok", then we can say Wearepebbls.

Also, if "Heaven's Open", then Purgatory Shall Open in 15 Minutes.

:O ...well if you really like my music , i'm surprised you never commented this one ! ...maybe because there is two parts and first is a bit confusing but second is really in the mood of Mike.

....This was a track i'd made for my lovely mummy during she was in hospital ( she's very very sick now ... alzheimer disease ) . I was making the first part just for fun when suddenly my elder brother has telephoned to me to tell she was in hospital . I've been so shocked by this news.. and then the second part came to my mind after that....

..maybe you never listened to it until the end ..

I use this second part for the intro of my website now .

Flower of the desert !

I'm not keen on 'Knights' - its got associations with big warrior men making music - a bit too exclusive.

So far my vote goes to -

The Tubular.net Album - Tunes from the Bell Labs - (ta-dum pish).

The word "tune" is really just the part of a piece of music that can be whistled, though: I feel it trivializes the music, as though all the pieces can be reduced to just the whistlable parts of them.

In the Arthurian literature (eg, Tennyson's "Sir Galahad") "knight" tends to connote, on the contrary, a refined code of ethics (allegiance and "chivalrous behaviour") rather than macho warmongering.

And without wishing to be even more negative, "Bell Lab" conjures up the same-named technological institution in the US.

I know. I did it just to poke you. :) But actually, Stereolab did name one of their compilations Aluminum Tunes. I think it has a jovial, lighthearted, self-deflating tone, and that's why I like it.

That's why I added the "ta-dum tish"! :) I was wondering what could complete that title, as in "Tunes from the Bell ____?", and I couldn't let that joke pass.

Let's not get bogged down in details and bicker.
For now it's.   Tubular Net 2011 The Album
By the Tubular Net Group.
The musicians know the body of work will speak for itself.
A catchy clever tittle is not needed IMO

Sir M: "I did it just to poke you. :)  "

I had no idea you wanted to poke me, Sir M - you should have said so earlier, old son. Your place or mine?

Roger... over and out...
