Hi,

I threw something together tonight that I think might fit well on the compilation and shoved it on SoundCloud.

Before you listen... IT ISN'T FINISHED YET!

I plan to add more rhythmic percussion and possibly make a couple of bits longer or shorter, and everything will change when I come to mix it... but please let me know if you think this would fit...

The link is: http://soundcloud.com/purplerhapsody/reflections-work-in-progress

Please feel free to tell me that you don't think it'll fit the compilation if that is your honest opinion!

Cheers,
Terry.

Good Lord Terry! - you're really on a roll if you can throw together a masterpiece like that in one night. :D

It sounds perfecly lovely to me as it is - with a production tidy. Particularly like the inclusion of strings, and the Spanish guitar.

Really cool!!!!
However, if I could ask a small favour...

I release music under the name Purple Rhapsody so if you could call me that in the finished, final, version that would be most marvellous!!!

Thanks,
Terry.
PS: Not feeling any pressure... ;-)

totally true...I agree :)

I love the choice of that piece of music too, appropriate somehow...and the additional drums, well... what can I say? takes it to a new level :)

well done you!

This sounds like fun! I've been away too long. There was a 13 minute diddy I once did where I finally mastered pitch bends on a synth called "Iron Filings"(I even had that "Pat Metheny face" when I was doing it). My neighbor sat in on the fake Oberheim freight train guitar takes and was good luck, cuz the final take was the one. Or was it that he was smoking pot the whole time and I got a 2nd hand buzz? Dude said he took the copy I gave him to 6th street and folx got off to it, very acid. Perhaps a 3.5 minute excerpt. I will re-work the thing another day, but perhaps for now........Jim

Yes, I thought it was a terrific picture - worthy of framing! The sea reminded me of the Gravitar quest Ocean World in Maestro.

I prefer the lettering in this version. And a barcode, too - that's realism!  :D The image of the hands rising from the water is also quite Lady of the Lakish, if anyone wants to hunt for Arthurian links.

Really? I'm obviously on your wavelength, TT!

I'm glad you called it "La Dame du Lac", and not the Monty Python version - "Watery Bint", "Aquatic Tart", etc.

Hey ! ..am back to home !!

:D I even don't know what is " bint " ! lol

..anyway i respect so much the Arthurian cycle and legend (Matter of Britain) that i couldn't say bad things about them ! ;)

..i was so amazed by " the Excalibur " of John Boorman ! A masterpiece , imho !

...back to my picture Milamber , of course you can change what you want ! Do you want i try something new in the color or texture or material of the sea for example ? Here i've used a "raindrops" material .

I'm also not happy with the hands , it's a free 3D object so i can't change the texture and material of it (can't change the color of  nails for example )!

If someone could help me or could do a better picture , well i'm ok ! I'm using Bryce 6 !

This is just something i've made to " stimulate " your imagination , just do better now !

Could someone tell me if the mix of the track is better ?  ;)

Hi Chaps

Just got back from a holiday visiting my family in England. Will now get on the case from this week.

I use Soundcloud to promote my music. We could create this virtual album up there as well to showcase it?
