Wow and yikes - that's a lot of tracks, so I'll have to plunder methodically, starting from 1998. I see "Fluffy Bunny" dates from that year so perhaps other furry quarry await my trophy bag!  :D

I wonder what Volker of Project System 12 would make of "Fluffy Bunny" - he probably wouldn't understand the title, as it's well known Germans have no word for "fluffy"  :O

... bagged one with my first shot! "Corruption 2" has a great melody which will no doubt get stuck in my head.

oh noes not thooose  :O
there were some serious issues with the MIDI interface I had in the studio hence some very annoying timing errors in those couple of 'corruption' tracks. oh well. im glad you like 'em :) thanks for the enthusiasm!

I'm up to "Where's my Pie" now and I've downloaded a fair fraction of what you've posted, so thanks again for making them available.

I know you wrote several of the pieces for fun, but they contain music I enjoyed on a more than fun level. I'm thinking of parts of "Old Mak", and also the melody and mood of "Where's my Pie".

As to the question raised by "Where's my Pie", the answer is - Fluffy Bunny ate it.   She left a note saying "Bunniekins is back!"  :O

It's the end of January now - I hope it won't be another year before you post music, as last year.

I can't stop listening to "Dawnbreaker". It's an absolutely monumental composition. It connotes for me certain aspects of Ommadawn and Return to Ommadawn  - and not just because both contain the word "dawn". I get an image of a majestic astral spaceship returning to the vicious world at the dawn of our history - the world that gave rise to and exiled Kalra and Kaldog - and exacting terrible revenge on those responsible for the exile. (The jerky, anxious strings towards the end seem to be a nod as well to Crises (I need you on my side 'cos there's a "cry - seize!").)

Is "Red Bottles" a traditional tune? It reminds me of something. Whatever, it's one of the pieces I like most, so far, on your "All Releases" website. I also like the manic version of "Scotland the Brave" in "Walking", and wouldn't mind an extended version of that, if one exists. I might even cut and edit it into an endless loop, with your permission!

Incidentally, and probably to your disgust, I really like "Total Bollocks"  :D

Its based on the "bottles on the wall"

i.e 10 green bottles hanging on the wall

there are a few variants on the lyrics.

you are free to do what you please re looping

Total Bollocks was good for its time, typical teenager.

I'm hopeless with distinguishing melodies. I know "Ten Green Bottles" but I can't detect any resemblance to your piece!

Pity about "Mall Teaser". I think a memorable melody is never to be despised!

Your new piece reminds me of echoing ice caves, and playing music on icicles.

My favorite Red Heat branded piece at the moment is "But Weightless". It knocked "Dawnbreaker" off the top of the chart after a few weeks

Yes, the music deserves more than that.

I note that the spoken commentary in "Bells after Sundown" is very similar to that in "Dawnbreaker", with the difference that the first is about hostile aliens and the latter about the Chinese. Well, yes!   Also, the parallelism of sundown and dawn.

Also, the music around the middle of "Dawnbreaker" manages to sound not only Chinese but also wildly better than any Chinese music I've ever heard.
