Robin. A Smith has just released a reimagined  version of Tubular bells. Have a listen if you can.it's endorsed by Sally Oldfield ,and Mike has encouraged the work ( according to the sleeve notes)

I found the tracks on his SoundCloud and a few weeks later on YouTube as well.

Most arrangements are really lovely! They're much more ambient than the 'Mike Oldfield on 2 Pianos' series by Carsten Gerlitz.

Gerlitz's arrangements are fun to listen, with lots of highs and lows, like Mike's original music is. But Smith's arrangements are great as background music, creating a very relaxed atmosphere without a lot of highs and lows, but maintaining Mike's beautiful melodies.

I'd rather be... happy?
