For anyone who missed Mike's interview on 'The Album Chart Show' on BBC Radio 2 - it's interesting to hear that, originally, Rowan Atkinson was going to be the MC, but he didn't return Mike's phone call... I prefer John Cleese, because he's better known around the world, so most people would recognise John's voice!

I guess most people who know Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean only would be really surprised that he actually has a voice..  :D
OTOH, here in Germany all foreign TV shows and movies are usually dubbed in German, so only those people here who have been lucky to see 'Monty Python' and 'Fawlty Towers' in the original version will recognize John's voice  :/

Ahh, yes, these were the lucky people I mentioned - note that this was already some years ago, and only broadcast by (some?) regional stations.

There was one show, Monty Pythons Fliegender Zirkus, which was actually recorded in German, not dubbed. I don't think it's at all widely known. I've never seen it, but there's information about it on imdb.com.
