The Independent has posted an interview with Mike that doesn't focus on music.

...being a hit. People thought it was a ludicrous idea, an album without vocals ...no record labels would take it on...It's the all- time No 1 in the instrumental album chart...

It is absolutely true for JMJarre's Oxygene !!  :)

;) Robbie ? Be sure i'm going to tell you that in a friendly way , ok ?

I can't imagine someone can compare Oxygene to Tubular Bells . These are two totally different concept albums ... no ?  ;)

If you count the number of royalties Oxygene must pick up from the old amusement arcades it`s probablly sold about 100 million more.. ;)

"Doo..dee doo dah...Doo!"

I quite like a lot of Mr Jarre`s music, but if I was the guy handing out the change in one of those penny arcades.I`d probablly be on some hell bent personal vendetta by now to seek out and destroy the botoxed one.

So just to re-cap there...One of those albums was used as the main theme to one of the most talked about movies of it`s generation.Whilst the other became the soundtrack to OAP`S  playing seaside bingo.. :p

And you have to remember, Tubular Bells is NOT an instrumental album. Just ask caveman...
