I find that the first 6 minutes of the track is so strange sounding, and yet amazing to listen to... but as soon after you hear a little laugh, that inspiring first climax got me captivated!

the 'problem' with amarok is so many twists.every change in the main theme makes u climactive about the last one :) .looking at it as a whole track eases the experience. (i never liked the 'tracks' version anyway)

Personally I prefer the second climax after 30 minutes. Then again, there aren't any bad parts on the album.

The only bad part is the ending: it comes too soon. This one should have been 120 minutes long. But I should realize that endings are just beginnings.

I think that speech is an odd thing to put in an album but just look at the instruments list, the main charm of Amarok is it's weirdness!  :)

I like the morsecode though hehehehe  :D

In the end the speech is actually quite telling about the album, "endings are just beginnings" is basically how it's been constructed, with the ending of each section being the beginning of the next.

my favourite crescendo is the one at around 43 minutes (I think that's when it is)  :)

I've always loved the first climax after 6 minutes, It's a great prelude to the rest of the album.
The whole Thatcher speech thing shouldn't work, but it does, I wonder if that was Mike's idea or Tom Newman's?
