I would like to recommend this album to everyone, its my favourite by the Floyd. Every track is throughroughly enjoyable and very special, mostly IMO 'Coming back to life' (without wanting to sound gay) *no offence anyone!* the vocals are beautiful. Also 'Marooned', 'Poles apart', 'Cluster one', 'Take it back', 'High hopes', What do you want from me and of course 'Keep talking' featuring Dr Stephen Hawking  :)

And to the people that have heard it, what do you think of it?

I thought it sounded nice enough, but didn't hold a candle to their + Waters glory years.

An average album.
Cosidering it's by Pink Floyd, it isn't good at all.
The songs are melodramatic rubbish, The instramental work is absolutely boring, and the songs are no better than B' sides that would appear on Dire Straits singles.
The only hi lights are some nice Gilmour solos, but we heard plenty of those  before so it's hardly enough to make an album.
Of course it sold Millions, but if Floyd were to **** on a plate, many would consider it art.

:(

No wonder you guys are so negative about L+S  :/

Maybe it isn't the best album by Pink Floyd, but it's certainly not average, and if you stop thinking how it compares to the old Floyd, you'll appreciate it.

It's not bad - i.e. it's not A Momentary Lapse Of Reason. Poles Apart is great, and the album also has one of the only Gilmour solos I like, Marooned. The rest is the rest, ranging from good to meh.

If not for the old Floyd, I would not have tried as hard to like "The Division Bell" as much as I did.

However, I love the cover art, and the video with the kites/sails/scarves.

Yes, I really like the vocals as well, it's beautiful, great voice ;)

And it's my favourite Floyd Lp, and High Hopes is their best song, I think! I would have thought many more people liked it... :/

The song I wrote 'Got a Girlfriend' with the famous Bell(end) line:
"ups and downs every day, but I got a girlfriend woohoo hooray"
will be recorded in about 1 or 1 and a half month! I'll be sending you large cheques with every 1000 sales!

If you want some great Gilmour, check out the track "Pink and Velvet" by Berlin.

I've never understood all the bile directed towards Division Bell. I like it a lot, but I can't say it's my favourite Floyd album, Meddle and Animals rank far above it. High Hopes, Poles Apart, Coming Back to Life, all wonderful tracks in my opinion.

I find it one of the best albums ever. I hadn't listened to Pink Floyd before I bought this album (apart from The Wall), but got the chance to listen to it before I needed to buy it.

I bought it immediatly after listinging to it, and haven't regretted it.

Oh Division Bell  :D
God i love that album. The lovely cluster one. Could not begin better! Just look how it starts. This fuzzle thing sound like a journey through you life and become in this song with piano ect.
And then we have "What do you want from me", its one of the songs i often play when i want to be alone.
"Poles apart" Great! "Marooned" huge! "A great day for freedom" makes me think and dream alittle. Its just something about that song that touch me.
"Wearing the inside out" describes what i can feel sometimes, when your down i play this for you.
"take it back" enorm huge lovely to watch in concert!!! This song i  cant wait to see on PULSE DVD.
"Coming back to life" Surely fine and nice! Great song too.
"Keep talking" same like "take it back" very good track to be on PULSE DVD.
"Lost for words" i cant stop playing this one. When you are in the same mood like this song, its perfect!
"High hopes" the best track from Divisions Bell! This song have everything. Video, concert filmed, live recorded! Ahh! Ilove this song in everything. Its just perfect. The solo at the end must have been played bu god..

So what i think about it?
