The booklet is really awful. It could be written by David laing too!!! The most terrible thing is the discography:
1974 TB
1980 Platinum
1981 OrchTB
1984 Hergest Ridge
1985 Ommadawn
1990 Boxed Oldfield

Well... IF anyone is interested in the collection from Denmark - you know - just to get the cover or whatever, it's quite easy to do, as I can easily go and buy one real cheap here redface)) However, how we handle it is another matter, as I'm appose money being involved.

Any bright ideas can be mailed to me off-forum at posh@oldfield.dk, or I _could_ begin setting up a damned shop for those VERY cheap remasters we have ere in DK since anyone I hear from asks why they ( in their respective contries) are so hard to get or so darn expensive...

Virgin Denmark has released a 2CD compilation called 'The Danish Collection'. (Thanks, Oldfield.dk) Cover scans at ProMO. Amazon.fr sells a 2CD 'Collection'. It's also available in Spain. (Thanks, Tubular World). Scan of the non-Danish cover (back, inlay with mistakes). (Thanks, nick & Blue Dolphin)

I like the song 'Tubular Bells (Exorcist Theme)' by Mike Oldfield as has a good rhythem to it, but my brother won't show me how to play it so I thought of reserching it to see if there is a page with this piece on with the notes already written on. Please let me know if there is one with notes written on at: emily650@hotmail.com. Thanks. Emily.

Personally speaking, I dislike Oldfield 'best of' or 'essential' compilations. The very nature of his 'best' works don't lend themselves to being chopped to pieces. Fair enough, a compliation of singles or shorter tracks (2-5 mins) is fine, but to even put the whole of Hergest Ridge part one on a compilation, immediately does part 2 a disservice.
