Don't use VST plug-ins in Cubase with M-Audio USB audio interface because it's the worst DAW solution in today modern proffessional recording studio I ever know!!!  I strongly suspect that Neve make intergrated internal soundcards for instalation (in the box) if they did not Universal Audio are THE best top class. A production showing that not Mike abilities but surrounding  climate in music business for example are the reason, the culprit of what are what they are the last few Mike albums! You are not alone. I was never a TB fan, but the live versions, and the subsequent versions, as they do for you, appeal to me.
