Somebody in the Spanish Taurus IV mailing list suggested that "Surfing" had a rhythm line very similar to the one in "Foreign Affair", so that gave me the idea to make this silly mix of both songs :)

To make both songs fit I slowed "Foreign Affair" down to 80 bpm (Surfing's tempo) and raised its pitch half a tone. The synchronization is not perfect, but this is just a fun track :p . There are two "flavors" of this song. My original MP3, and a second one with Viper's guitar (he liked the song and added some guitar over it).

You can download both MP3s here:

Hope you like it ;)

Hey, thats pretty damm good chap, they do match up. The guitar playing is great but it complicates it too much, its better without it. Nice arrangement though.

Very good indeed.
A great idea.

But if Mike had done it himself Im sure it would be called recycling.

Well, this was just a fun experiment. I don't think Mike would release something like this tacky mix in an actual album :p

But then again, he released such a terrible track as Romance, so after that, everything's possible :D

PD: Sorry, I think I should have posted this in the "fan remixes" forum instead of here. If a moderator sees this, please move it to the appropriate forum.

Wow that's amazing! Viper's playing is as usual quite beautiful...I like the "Our Father" hint there ;). And OMA there's something about all the mixes you do. From the OWL and Craterland mixes to this one you have a mind for mixing two things that are seemingly different together into a beautiful piece of work! Bravo!
