German magazine Stern has published an interview with Mike. Amongst other things, he talks about how he prefers music over words as a form of communication, his panic attacks, how he finds building studios more relaxing than making music and how he hates giving his works titles.

Q: Do animals have something musical about them?
A: No, not really. [ponders] I've never written music about animals. That's not a bad idea...

But that's so not true! On Horseback, Rocky, Wild Goose Flaps Its Wings... I guess there's more. Froggy Went A-Courting... Don Alfonso :D

Edit: And so many in the MVR music... Snow Owl Theme, Batcave, ants, etc. etc.

You left out "Taurus".  :p

Maybe Mike was thinking on an album scale? That or he was just being forgetful. I can relate. Like, the other day, I was all "Help yourself to some cookies. Whaddya mean 'what cookies'? Oh. That's right, I ate them all. Sorry."

"I'm no physicist, but technically couldn't Mike both be with the horse and be flying through space at the same time? (On account of the earth's orbit around the Sun and all that). So it seems he never had to make the choice after all. I bet he's kicking himself now." - clotty

And of course the forerunner to Taurus was Tubular Bulls.Which has certainly been something of a cash cow for Mike it has to be said.

On a slightly smaller scale we`ve also had The Songs Of A Distant Earth Worm and Ommaprawn. So quite what Mike is thinking about here,I honestly don`t know.Maybe the article lost something in translation.  ;)  :D
