Thank you! I did the whole thing in Reason and Cubase in my little student flat. I did get the studio placement in the end, and working there with other artists has meant that I haven't really had much time to work on my own stuff recently. Having said that, I've picked up a lot of ideas and ways of doing things from working in a proper studio. Next year, however, I have to go back to being a student again...

OK... I'd really need someone else with some webspace to host it, or if anyone can reccommend me somewhere that does hosting for free? The only way I could put it on to Geocities (my only site at the moment) was to break the 11 minute piece down into 3 files which I don't really want to do if I can help it. A little more space would mean I could upload at better quality too.

So, any ideas - message on here or send me a PM or something. Thanks!

Try sending Mat a PM on here, or you could write a message in the amarok mailing list about it. One of the members there might be able to host it themselves

I'd like to have a copy on my hard disk again. I heard it once, but it's a great reference and, in my opinion, a benchmark fan cover on which all others are judged :)

I've had an email from Ecco and we are looking at sorting something out, as soon as I know what's going to happen with it I'll put a message on here and on the Amarok list.

Excellent work, Matthew!

Very musical and it captures the "feel" of the original while enhancing it at the same time.

Though, would like to hear some kind of climax. Nice sound over-all, but the end feels anti-climatic.

EDIT:  Finally got to hear the whole bit.

It's up... many thanks to Ecco for hosting.

It's one big file now (which is how I always wanted it to be) which is about 13MB or so.

Here is the link

That link doesn't work for me. It says "You cannot currently access these files. Contact the owner of these files for more information."

I had no problems with it earlier today. It could be Toney's server

Thanks again Mat. Getting the recognition it deserves again

No dice, here. I think you should take a look, Matt. Might be a small configuration problem, methinks.

Oooh.... The thing is that it's not me that is hosting them, it's not my webspace or anything; Ecco was sorting all that out after I sent him the file. I've sent him an e-mail and I'll let you know when I do.
