I really want to hear the whole pre-Trevor Horn version.

Jules

I was very impressed with how different it feels; it sounds like Mike had a much better balance between updating the sound but keeping the spirit of the original.

Anyone out there help me out with a copy of this?

Jules

I don't know if it's available in any official form other than as a B-side of some single from that time, which means it's damn near impossible to find officially, but it's very easily obtainable via torrent. Keep in mind that the only thing I have heard is the "Early stages" version of Sentinel, that is, it's a short extract, not the whole album.

Early Stages :)

Thanks Milamber and Sir M.

Is that just the extract from the single?  I think I have that.

I was under the impression that a whole album's worth was in circulation.  Just wishful thinking on my part?

Put "Grabando Tubular Bells II" into YouTube for some embryonic recording stuff - including mistakes and swearing.

It's painful for me to hear "Early Stages" because it just shows how good TBII could have been.
In my dreams he is still doing music that sounds like that.

Firstly I love this album. I have heard some of the de-trev version (my bro has a few tracks) but not by any means a complete alternate album. I too would love to hear this, not because of not liking the original, just that the tracks I heard definately had a different vibe somehow and were certainly worth a listen.
