Richard Branson tweeted and others have mentioned it, but here's Virgin Music's harbinger of their equivalent anniversary.

And on this page is the accompanying video; featuring Mike of course - his place in the running order may not be what you expect, but it's nicely appropriate.

Meanwhile, the man himself was on BBC Radio 4's Front Row last night.  A lovely, extended interview with John Wilson - Sir Richard in fine form - and rejoice!  Available as podcast/download indefinitely :)

More RB bits and pieces.  Danny Baker and Stuart Maconie tweeted about their interviews with him and eventually featured in a Virgin diary - Sir Richard has a lot to remember some days!

Danny Baker was interviewing for the Radio Times issue for this upcoming week, although the associated programme is for the 30th anniversary of the Now.. compilations (Moonlight Shadow on the original, mind you).  Buying it later but still not the man to scan anything, I'm afraid.  RT online do have this revelation...

This Sunday's edition of 'Stuart Maconie's Freakier Zone' will feature other music that employs les cloches tubulaires - Viv Stanshall in The Intro and the Outro must be a cinch!

That is ahead of the usual 'Freak Zone', wherein Stuart's interview forms part of a celebration of 40 years of Virgin Music.  I've seen one hint that the whole programme is Virgin and one that says otherwise, but it'll be worth a listen I think.  The Freak Zone's podcasts are usually fairly short but may suit MO fans this time.
