There is a Christmas EP CD (shorter-length CD) available sometimes. It contains "Silent Night".

There was one played on 20.12.1980, in Dortmund, Westfalenhalle. This concert was broadcasted by a German TV, under the title In Concert. Though, I don't know if it also contains Silent Night because the version I'm familiar with ends before it. However, I've got the whole show in mp3, if you need it; but don't expect high quality recording.

happy christmas HA HA HA

Thank's Tubularman, this is wonderful  :D .   A happy Yuletide/Christmas to you too, even though in the Northern Hemisphere we've yet to have Summer Solstice.  Well christmas does seem to come earlier each year, shops often have the festive goods on display from August :O .

Hmmm....missed the duplication until this very moment (well...a couple of moments ago). I love Mike's version of "Silent Night." Years ago I played it during the holiday gift exchange portion of the kids' school party (I used to slip MO's stuff in whenever, wherever--my favorite was blaring it appropriately while driving in one of the parades). Anyway....the teacher liked the version, but the kids were more interested in the gifts than the music.  :O

Depends which bit. There's some guitar synth sounding stuff which sounds very like the 'slightly sampled electric guitar' sound from TBII which was from a Roland pick-up fitted into a PRS Custom(i think it's in the Custom but it could be in the PRS sinature) or it could be from the sunburst strat which,at that point also had a Roland pick-up fitted. The lead bit at the end is the PRS as well.
I actaully recorded a version using 7 tracks years ago and found an ebow gave a pretty goood impersonation of the sampled sound.

If anyone has it on vynil and owns an "old tin box" to play it on, try slowing it down to 33rpm, it sounds even better! very haunting, i discovered it by accident after playing a mike album and forgetting to change the speed!  :)

I will try this the moment i get home!Reminds me of being a kid.My Mum and Dad would buy me an LP for and dad would tape it.On one occasion i got dad to record FMO on one side and TB on the other.Dad was crafty in making it dit and for years i though Taurus 2 was higher and fater untill i realised he'd taped it at 45 to make it fit!

I love playing with the speed on stuff.Highly juvenile i know but funny. My DVD playing has a Key function so i can 'speed it up' or 'slow it down' in pre-set increments. It doesn't alter the speed though, just the pitch. The upshot is that you can 'speed up' the caveman section of TB and hear what Mike sounded like screaming his 19 year old head off whn he recorded it.No wonder he ruined his voice!Try it.
