Well Tati did tell me I was in for a show.

This was nothing short of spectacular  :)

Hi all, Milamber here your humble Toob Net reporter checking in after seeing The Wall Live.

What a top notch production from start to finish, With some of the best visuals I have ever seen.

At the venue before the show a constant Electric Hum could be heard through the P.A and it definitely had the desired effect (I have seen numerous bands at this arena before)  So I could tell it was staged to build anticipation.

Roger was in fine form and from the second row I could see nothing was pre-recorded vocal wise.
Also personally for me it was a treat to see the great Graham Broad on the Drums.

I tried to record what I could but the FUN Police were in full force and I got told off twice, So please excuse the Camera dips as I was doing the filming incognito.

Check out the effects during Comfortably Numb, Live it really was something to behold.

The link is private so only Members/Visitors here will see it.

And If anyone ever tells you that 2,000 polystyrene bricks coming down towards you isn't scary then they got nerves of steel

It was the best gig I have ever been to and if Roger can still work it in his late 60's then Mike needs to really pull the proverbial out, hell he could do a World tour with just an Acoustic Guitar...I know we would all go to see that  :)

Enjoy M.

Yes, they've been advertizing his concerts here in WA too - along with umpteen different CDs and DVDs "to complete your collection"  I think the idea is to leave your bank account completely rogered!

At the risk of sounding like the Beach Boys, Cam, "I get around".  :D  As for Finch, she probably needs something for the sex change you've just given her.

I'd go to Roger's concert only if I thought Publius might be there too.  :)

Glad to hear that you've enjoyed a lot Roger Waters' gig in Oz.It's not a gig,it's an experience.

@ Milamber: comfortable psychedelia aside :D, it looks a bit like the Berlin show. Was it as good as that, or better?

@ Dan/nightspore: Publius is part of the name by which I am known within another community. :D And anyway I don't think that the PF-related Publius would ever show up at a PF concert (or at a PF-related concert) because the whole Publius idea was not by PF - it was external to them, although they obviously played along with it quite a lot. :)

@ Dan: I got your e-mail, thanks very much. I think I will adopt that name in here as well, if Olivier lets me. :)

No, I'm implying that Olivier is Superman here, since I think only he has the superpowers to change an user's screen name without affecting his/her posts. Maybe the other admins are Supermen too, I'm not sure. :)

Sorry for the late reply

The Berlin show was more of a Musical Historical Event whereas The Wall Live is obviously a World tour, Like yourself (I'm guessing) I have only a V.H.S copy of the Potsdamer Platz gig .

It (Berlin) certainly was an excellent show apart from the fact that Cyndi Lauper and Van Morrison killed it Arrrrgghh :(

As Tati states it's an experience for sure.. The Wall live, Very theatrical with excellent visuals projected of the wall.

Entire show

@ Cam/Millie: thanks for the links, I'll watch the videos when I have time (right now I don't - hope they don't get erased! :O). I've got the Berlin show on VHS and DVD - the latter is edited, the former has it all. I agree about Cyndi's disastrous vocal (she was apparently drunk when she sang the song, and the performance on the released version is not actually the entire live vocal but a live + studio comp), but not about Van Morrison as I actually like him.
Also @ Cam, you got my Roman name wrong - please ask nightspore for more details. :D By the way, and off-topic, I'm going to cover GGG on my next album (I still haven't managed to upload one of my old tracks on SoundCloud). I'm going to do that song all on my own with a drum loop and lots and lots of percussion. I'm not doing "Lily the Pink" 'cause I can't sing that way. :D

@ nightspore: are you sure that no-one here can actually find a way to edit just my screen name in my profile? ;)

You know more about the 4um than I do, Ugo  :D

As for Roger Waters and PF, I really prefer the older Floyd. There's too much of the "whinge, whinge, moan, moan" in the later stuff!
