I recently discovered Robert Wyatt's 'Rock Bottom' album and, I can't explain why, but somehow this seems to me like a counterpart to Tubular Bells. Not just because Mike plays on it and it's been recorded at the Manor. At first I didn't even know about Mike playing on this one! Then suddenly, after what already had been a delightful listening experience, there was this Guitar, and I guess you know what I mean when I write Guitar with a capital G.
The music is so different from Tubular Bells and yet I have this feeling of congeniality (does this word exist?)
Does anyone else feel the same (or disagree)?

I wouldn't have compared the two albums like that myself...

I borrowed a copy of Rock Bottom once and...well, it is just a little bizarre...maybe I would need to have thought about it a bit more before I noticed the type of link that you've noticed.
