I wonder about something, when "Heaven's Open" was first released there was a lot of stink about it in fandom, people had said that
Mike had "lost it" and many felt alienated by the change in his music. Then Mike bounced back with "Tubular Bells II" which was a huge
commercial and critical success and is placed amongst his greatest work by most fans. After that revisionists in the fan community,
looking back over his previous work have strongly defended "Heaven's Open", and some have even listed it among the top ten of
Oldfield albums. I wonder if in the next couple of years Mike will come back with another huge success and in it's wake a new breed of
fandom will look back over his past work and start defending such reviled fare as "Voyager" and "The Millennium Bell".
