My favourite:

http://www.indabamusic.com/opportu....2

It respects the original and it respects real musicianship. Also the original stems and the additions mix together very well.

It made me ha-ha-happy.

To Markus K: I'm assuming that was not you playing since you said it was your fav.? Wow. I listened to Olivier's first. Then clicked on your link. That was so fine! Olivier's is the best insofar as organic/1973 studio album feel. This one was superb as an "Exposed" live version feel. But more in keeping with what Mr. Pohjola would have done with it(perhaps they did years ago jamming during "Mathematician's Air Display/The Consequences of Indecisions"), we will never know. Steely Dan meets Mike Oldfield. The guitar/bass parts were very Pohjola/Jeff Baxter/Larry Carlton. Thanks for sharing that. Damn I wish I was the freekin' judge. The above two submissions would be running neck and neck for first place! Jim

No, I don't have anything to do with that favourite track of mine.

To not get too off-topic I'll just post this link to a page with some of that guy's own music and one nice Pink Floyd cover as well:

Yes, Olivier's track is nice. And I think it's also quite different from any other track up there.

OK, rough mix now up at:

A few tweaks to go (need to sort the opening bass out)...but I need a break from it now!

(PS a prize for anyone who can identify the source of the opening 20 seconds)

(PPS a further prize for anyone who can guess why it has this title!;)

Seems to be up there at indabamusic now as well. Interesting.

My guess would be that the beginning is an organ / string synth sound from the original multitrack tapes with a reversed tubular bell sample. The organ chord anyway sounds like something found in Tubular Bells part 1. (I think it was a rather quiet section where there are some bell hits in the background and it then proceeds to an acoustic guitar part.)

Or you stole it from some unreleased Pink Floyd demo tape.  :D

My other guess is that the name has to do with the British comedian who had a Margaret Thatcher character in his show. This then links to Oldfield via the Amarok album. It was the same Maggie impersonator on both actually. (I had to Google for this.)

You win the prize for the first question! It is indeed a section from the original album, at around 15'44", but reversed, extended and generally digitally abused (not from the stems, which finish after 14 minutes).

Re the second question, good try but no, it's not as involved as that. Mike Yarwood was a British impressionist (as in he did impressions of people, he wasn't a painter!;) of the 70's. TB is of course from the 70's, and my take on it is somewhat impressionistic...so...well, you get the picture.

Much more importantly, any thoughts on the track?!
