I have seen a very scratchy version of this documentary and absoloutly love it. It's relaxing and has a retro 1970's science documentry appeal to it.

There are a few segments of Mike's music unused elsewhere and early versions of incantations and ommadawn and mike makes a cameo appearance!

I think a lot fans would appreciate a restored version being issued on dvd.

Anyone know of anything or have anything to say.

yes but i think original master is not very good quality so it takes alot of work to remaster it and i doubt anyone would want to do so because most likely only MO collectors would buy it in dvd.

Awhile ago i uploaded whole thing to google videos as well i equalized sound to make talking voice little bit clearer from original.

Film scratches doesnt bother me but i would like to hear this thing with good quality audio.

I recently watched The Space Movie DVD release and i was pretty much disappointed about remastering work.

Hifiguru, you're a star. I've just been looking at the video you uploaded, the quality is not half bad compared to what I've been used to.

I think I'd like this film even if I'd never heard of Mike Oldfield.

That price hasn't changed in almost 20 years, that is what I paid for a tape copy. I suspect the DVD is not a remastered or improved version, otherwise they would have said. The original transfer looks like it is from a 16mm print that has a poor optical soundtrack. It is hard to improve once it is like this, you need to go back to an earlier stage which would be difficult to arrange. Concord seem to have a huge range of films available for distribution and this is just one of them.

Anybody know what the quality is like compared to the stream hifiguru put up on googlevideos, which I must say is quite good compared to what you can see the internet and the copy I've been used to.
