This is amazing. Never seen it before.

Mike aged 17

Where was it found?
Can anyone translate the French to English?

Blinding - hifiguru does it again.

Mike does look a little "WTF?" about the filming. A great slice of early 70's vintage. When did the Velvet Underground start using an oboe in their band? Which group added that instrument to a rock band first?

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

beginning is :
------------
The concert at "mutualite" was not a concert like any other. Organized for the benefit of south america political
prisoners, especially *xxx*, it carried a special political meaning. Among the participants where 2 french bands :
Komintern and Mahajune (?), 2 english bands : Kevin Ayers' Whole World and Edgar brouhton band. ACtually only Komintern
and Kevin Ayers performed on stage this evening

then the interview (the beginning being rather silly) :
Kevin: It's important to have ideas to be awake. Otherwise, without ideas, we are just sleeping, which is crap, and it's like
being dead.
Interviewer: ok I'm fair haired while you are brown haired, it's a difference you can't deny.
Kevin: it's a difference since one says it's white or black and ...
Int: actually there's a difference between white and black ..
Kevin: well no, there's a difference because one says there's a difference, although there isn't really one
Int: but if you deny every difference, then everything is the same
Kevin: yes, exactly
... to be continued

actually i found it from http://www.ina.fr/ where is full program in online video...so i captured only that part to tube.
Search kevin ayers and click ok and you get 3 videos in result..one of them is that where tube clip is from.

There is also pretty interesting stuff and live performances about Robert Wyatt (soft machine), Pink Floyd etc..all from early 70s

Let me know if its possible to save full stream into hdd because i would like to collect those programs but i dont bother to screen record them all.

Great video thanks Hifiguru :D . Psychedelia at its very best :D, yep a worthy rival to The Velvet Underground or The Doors. What was the track KA&TWW were playing, it's not one I know.  Does anyone have a full  English translation of the dialogue, as my parlez vous Francais is a little lacking.  BTW does anyone know what happened to The Edgar Broughton Band that evening (another favourite band ), why they didn't appear on stage.

The track is called 'Why are we sleeping'.
In 1974 it's been recorded on the album 'Confessions of Dr. Dream' when Mike already had left the band.

... Or maybe is it from this one, which is the one I've got and which is basically the same thing as above? :D
I found it on an Italian online shop, but it's available mostly everywhere... such as here. :)

The track is called 'Why are we sleeping'.

They also play a bit of "We Did It Again"

What you hear in the link above is a modified version of WAWS from what was played in 1970. Mike had more influence over arrangements, so early workings of Tubular Bells surfaced in his solo spot. Note also that the very beginning is so close to the beginning of Incantations that I cannot help thinking this isn't an accident. When I first heard it, before it was available on CD, I nearly fell of my chair.

Kevin Ayers never toured with an orchestra, partly due to cost, but also because David Bedford broke his leg!

Thanks for that Hifiguru and Ugo. Yep I've seen this CD before, now I just need to find work, so much music to get, currently have five job apps pending , and a sixth I'm applying for.

Here are a few other versions, including Mike on guitar:

The last one has a great guitar solo that Mike later used in Tubular Bells!
