Enjoyed listening to these guys who were playing on the same stage as me at Standon Calling Festival.

A bit Oldfieldish in places, and nice to hear at last some new predominately instrumental rock music (apart from the news cast voice overs). Love these tracks Everest and Spitfire.

I've been following this band for a year now - they are very good, but I don't see a lot of Oldfield cross-over.

But, if you like driving guitars and a well programmed drum machine - the gimmick is to add 40's/50's BBC/Government film - watch this

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

Sounds like a cross between Stereolab and The Advisory Circle. I'm intrigued!

Its Oldfield-ish in that its just the work of one guy and he's a seriously talented multi-intrumentalist. I've seen him live 4 or 5 times now and I've met him a couple of times. Lovely bloke and a really gifted musician and composer. Track down his album Inform, Educate, Entertain. Its utterly fantastic. He's doing a world tour at the moment and about to go to the US and Australia so if you get the chance go and see him. Live drums and almost everything else is hand played using loop pedals and sample triggers, guitars and banjos. A great show with great visuals.

This is my favourite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scpdj90Z5Nw

Here's a live version of another great track. He's a superb guitarist.
