Hi.Now this is something i really want (Ommadawn being my favourite album). However i tried to download it at the weekend on my Dad's PC (the one i'm on now is at work and i would be fired if i downloaded anything)and could not get it to download.
Would any of the UK based members be willing to burn a copy if i provide the cash for the cd's and the P&P?
A big ask i know but this is the kind of thing that will drive me nuts!
Cheers.

I wonder if anyone heard Caveman's appeal? It would be sad if this fabulous collection were denied to him.

Someone, elsewhere, pointed out that the download is no longer available via this link. I don't know if anyone is still wanting to get this, but I expect Tubularman could be convinced to upload the files, again, if there's interest.

I've been Ommadosing this weekend, tripping on MO's guitaring, and loving every moment.

I still have the original archive file I downloaded from here. If anybody wants it, please give me links to at least 2 file hosting sites that will allow a 238Mb file, Rapidshare only allows 100Mb.

@ Jim - you can still upload it to Rapidshare. All that you have to do is split it into 3 parts (100+100+38 MB). Or you can try Megaupload. ;)

Megaupload seemed to work fine. Have fun:

go to oldversion.com and download winrar and install it. Right click on the ommadawn.rar file and left click on extract files.

I love this compilation of Ommadawn versions.
I probably had listened a thousand times !

But I have a question about this compilation.

The second song says "1981 Knebworth Festival Ommadawn Part 1".
But this version is diferent from the Knebworth version we have in the video "The Essential".
And looking at the Tours & Live Concerts page (http://tubular.net/tours/) I couldn't find any other
Knebworth concert.

The original Knebworth is from 1980 and the CD version is presumed to be from 1981.
At Knebworth the ending after the final drum section is very short and all the Ommadawn versions after
that time have a bigger ending after the drums.

So, which concert is that version ?

Thanks,

Roberto

Thank you :) glad you like it!
It was i that made that compilation some years ago..
I love ommadawn so much that this needed to be done!

Acually when you say.. yes this is not correct!! I have never notice that before.. and i know where this track is from now. After some research.. i got tons of recordings by MO. Over hundred folders with live uptakes..

Anyway.. this is live from Essen 1981-04-01 Grugahalle, Germany

Reason why this error came up must be that i thought it was The Essential DVD..
So im sorry for that..
:/
