I came across this whilst visiting a northern town. Couldn't resist taking it, any one got any more? :)

I know somewhere in Warrington there is a street called Oldfield Drive...but I can't find it! But as soon as I do, I'll go back and take a picture :D

I was thinking of buying an Oldfield bass guitar - simply because of the name! I also recently saw a bass called 'Shine'... :D

Oldfield Court, cul-de-sac. I don't really know why, but that strikes me as funny.  :D

That's a cool picture of "Oldfield Court". Does anyone else find that some of the stonework exhibits an odd perspective?

Now that you mention it, yes indeed.

This might explain the odd perspective. I didn't want to post this because of the dreadful, dreadful wheelie bins ( I didn't have time to move them when I took the photo ) but just to give you an idea. It is in Yorkshire.

Holger, I'm glad it wasn't just me.

Bee, I like this shot, too. And I wouldn't say the bins are 'dreadful', but rather... colorful.  ;)

I've already posted these elsewhere ("Symptoms of Mike Oldfield fanatics"), but anyway... :)

- In the movie Small Soldiers, the shop where the toys are sold is called "The Inner Child".

- Mike Oldfield is credited among the writers of Paul Hardcastle's "19". The song's main synth tune, in its original version, is clearly his... i.e., Mike Oldfield's, not Hardcastle's. :)

I came across this the other day, whilst out for a walk. It's close enough to 'that' word, don't you think! Or am I stretching it a bit?

It's a beautiful place too...

and here's another...
