The same process of repetition was kind of repeated in 1967,except The Rolling Stones were replaced by The Monkees. Anyway thanks to Lars I now know who     The Hep Stars were.The group Benny was in before Abba no less.I`m looking at the list here and they were right up there with The Beatles in terms of number one singles. I said they were only pissing me off and felt like throwing something. She was born after an induced labour of 12 hrs. She was a serene little thing, but she hates pan pipes big time! "I will not have gossip in this jungle"   Looking at that list Caveman I think 1975 may have been the first year I really started getting interested in music.Oddly enough though two of the records I most remember as having an early lasting impression were Space Oddity(which is in your list there) and John Lennon`s Imagine which were both re-issues. Maybe I like "deep" better?Actualy for years I always thought Scott sang Loneliness is a crowded room,and then I realised I`d just sub-consciously cross-referenced that from another song.Which in fact I can`t remember what that song is now? No you`re right though I mis-read the list earlier.Spencer Davis did`nt get to number one till the 14th so Walker Brothers were still toppermost of the poppermost when I was born, you`re right. Scott Walker`s maybe one of the exceptions for your Eno thread Wiga.According to legend while working with Eno (during the 70`s) Walker wasn`t too thrilled with the results and ended up throwing the master tapes in the Thames.I think it probably is an "urban legend" really,but I know Eno did say he wasn`t in the best frame of mind at the time.Eno still speaks very highly of his work and influence though.And Walker himself did record a couple of albums that were very similar in style to Low/Heroes. In Britain your birth song would be - "Kisses for Me" by Brotherhood of Man, from the Eurovision Song Contest.
