Just a thought, but an *entire* show of adulatory birthday greetings might get a little cheesy!! Quite tempting though, might do it over a background track of some description (or two screaming babies...)

Totally get your point, but the show will be at LEAST three hours long tonight.  I've had exactly THREE people give text messages.... and nothing else... a little disappointed...

Hello all...

VERY special JoeShow special tomorrow (Wed July 16th)
Most of the show will be given over to Rob Reed and his astounding new album.

The interview went VERY well and Rob answers some of his detractors regarding the album's content. (Quite well, I thought!;)

B*gger, I completely missed this. Did anyone by any chance record it?

(listening to the bandcamp version of Part One right now, sounds like a mashup of HR, Ommadawn and QE2!!

I've never heard of L&S demos. Where do they come from ?

And I have to admit I can't discover a difference as I've never listened to L&S carefully. I was shocked when I played the album first.

hi!
Sorry, just seen your reply!
They come from the Oldfield Community stalwart, Peter Buttle.
And they are indeed quite different mixes!

ANYWAY! Tonight's show
9PM GMT will be the last Joeshow of ANY sort before the Scottish Referendum! Will this be the last Joeshow from the UK? :-)

Join us at THE LOOK 247 at 9PM GMT for at least an hour of Oldfield related loveliness. (May be a little 'celtic' weighted tonight!   :D  )

Hello All!

Well, tonight's show shows TWO anniversaries...
(Could have been three, but, no...)

As this month saw the releases of TBIII and Islands and Light and Shade, I have decided to play two of those albums on tonight's JoeShow-Oldfield and Related Special.

Here's a hint... as I played the entirety of Light and Shade (Alternate Mixes) a week or two ago.. it "probably" won't be that that gets played tonight!;)   :D

So - Join us at 9PM GMT at The Look 247 for all of Islands, and then Tubular Bells III !

Hello all you lovely people...

Well.. This week's show (Wednesday 8th October) will expand slightly on last week's, insofar as the entire show will be given over to a David Bedford tribute.

There will, of course, be quite a few Oldfield-related tracks in their (as well as Kevin Ayers and Lol Coxhill), but thanks to David's daughter, Sarah, I will be playing some things that not too many people may have heard.

The show will start at 9PM and (for a change- ahem) go on for as long as I feel like!  :D

(It will probably run around the 2hr mark this week...)

So, join us for a celebration and commemoration of the late, great David Bedford - 9PM GMT, Wed 8th October at The Look 247!

Cheers!
