Massive audience and brilliant connections in the Chatroom! This week? Well, this week will mark the start of the Oldfield Community Covers, shows - The Music of Mike Made By YOU! There are some amazingly talented musicians out there, and some very interesting renditiotns of Mike's works to be had! I will be broadcasting all of the "Througham Slad Lost Sessions" disc. Limited to 100 copies worldwide - this is a Magpie Records release of the recording sessions that Mike and Les Penning undertook (which led to tracks like Portsmouth and Argiers amongst others) Tune in tonight for some of the rarest Oldfield content available! Inspired by various happenings this past week, this week's show will contain ALL of Pekka Pohjola's "The Consequences of Indecisions" featuring Mike and Sally. (The album doesn't run to an hour, so there will be some more of the wonder that is Oldfield too!  ) If you have heard the album before you will know it's a bit of a departure for Mike (or was, at the time) and if you have not heard it before... you will WANT to! I will be playing the last (for the time being) of the Oldfield Community Covers this week, and also a nice little rarity of Mike and David Bedford, live! (And maybe one or two other little gems thrown in for good measure. It would be nice to see your support for T.T. in this difficult time for him. Well, as yesterday was Tom Newman's birthday, I will be playing ALL of the remastered, special edition of "Fine Old Tom". Some classic Oldfield work on that album, as well as the demo's early mixes and alternate takes. Time dependant I may even play some Platinum whic, as I'm sure you all know, Tom produced! What better way to celebrate the Maestro's life and career, than with an ULTRA special Mike Oldfield and Related Joeshow!? I will be pulling out ALL the stops for this one - No idea how long it will last as, once I get started on this one, it will be hard to stop! 'Real Life' aside, if I can keep this one running to midnight (and the actual 15th) then I may just do so! ALSO - If you want to add your own personal message to Mike then please comment below: I will read out any (which are broadcastable  ) that I get. I will also make a recording of the show log available to the irreplaceable Caroline Monk, should she wish to pass it on to Mike.
