I thought Deb said her Oldfield phase had passed.
Maybe it's back.
Many old ghosts returning lately and changing the landscape

I don't want to sound rude but who is this Deb (deja vu  :)  )?

She's the lead singer of Blondie, HR. It's not well known that she's a MO fan, but she is (or was).

Reading back over this thread (which I hadn't really been following), it occurs to me that some of us are getting dangerously close to recreating the circumstances under which Deb left and several feelings were hurt. I'm sure those of you that were around remember. Let's try to avoid that happening again, shall we?

I never really followed those posts closely, so I'm not sure what the issues were. I remember Deb agreed with me about Coldplay, though.

Yes, that would be best.

@Nightspore: I meant uncalled for speculation about Mike's personal life.

I'm looking forward to this latest batch. No doubt there will an album I don't have yet as I spend more time gathering 7"s than full albums at the moment. Bring it on :)

I'm glad to know that there is a brilliant and well respected musician, famous, that appreciates Mike's unique and inspiring music!  Mike always seems to be under-appreciated to an unhealthy degree!  Well, atleast here in America.

I'm very much looking forward to the remixes of his older albums and the new one we heard about... Telecaster.  We all know that one day he will retire.  Let's hope it's not for atleast another 10 years or more :)

Do we? I can think of only two composers who "retired" - Rossini and Sibelius - and they only retired from big works; they still "diddled about".  :)  Being an artist isn't like working at an ordinary job; it's a passion. You might just as well talk about retiring from (cover your ears, HR) sex

It's possible she might be Terry Oldfield's PA.

Deb was a forum member here who left about a year ago. cadillac picked up a comment she made elsewhere on the net just about the fact that - as we know - Mike has been working on Incantations. PLEASE get back on topic: Incantations.
