Hi everyone,

I thought I could talk about my music here, even if there's not a real Mike Oldfield's vibe but I hope that you could like some tunes...

I play all the instruments except drums ;)

Here you can download and share a complete song called "Trample On Me": http://www.spleenarcana.com/music/sounds

Thank you for reading, and listening, I hope so :)

Gothic genre? Hum it depends on what you mean by gothic... What does make you think that? I ask you because some people already told me that :)

I like Dead Can Dance, heavenly voices music... Dark and melancholic music...

Thanks again :)

Well It was quite dark and mysterious, so to me I would term that as Gothic. Quite heavy at times too, in my opinion.  How would you term your music?

It's interesting!

I'm giving up about music labels because there's always someone to say, "no it's not that, it's this" :D

But I think there's a progressive rock influence because of songs lengths and changes. Maybe a gothic influence too, you're right, because of the moods...

On Progarchives website, Spleen Arcana is in the "crossover prog" part of the website, I like this term ;)

Error 404, not found. Sorry dewd, I wanted to hear it. Do you have a Myspace musician account? Great way to put a song up! I'm not promoting them I'm just saying it works. And by golly gee whiz I could add you/you add me as your freind! Christ it took me long enough to figure the frigging thing out, till one day some other guy had a song, that led me to figure out how to get the doggone music thingy them thar player to go.....My advice: upload your stuff there at full 320kBs MP3. Even if it's an excerpt. Great sound equals nods. Git 'r done.

Smillsoid: Liked your stuff! Reminds me of the arty plus commercial 80's tears for fears sound. Magic era. The art+the new technology. Case in point: Discovery. Keep it up. Arty was great for a while in the '70s. But now looking back at what we called "commercial" in the '80's is now classic.

Thanks Scatterplot, glad you liked my stuff.  Can't say I've ever owned or even liked anything by Tears For Fears!  Never mind, I take your compliment.  Have you played all the tracks on the player?  You may hear some of my actual influences!

Hi everyone!

I started some weeks ago the recording of Spleen Arcana's second album ;)

I write a studio diary here : http://www.spleenarcana.com/category/studio-diary/second-album/ where you can watch some videos of the work in progress

Thanks to your support, I hope to take the independant road again and self releasing it.

Still a lot of keyboards and guitars to record, as the drums and vocals (recording planned in August) but the songs don't sound like demos anymore and features a lot of mellotron and changes ;)

Don't forget to subscribe to the newsletter to be kept informed : http://www.spleenarcana.com/newsletter-subscription/

Thanks for your interest

Hi there!

Some news from SA towers : Drums are recorded for album II :p it was quite epic to record them as we only had 3/4 days but we did it ;)
I was using Reaper to record drums for the first time and it was so smooth and easy! I'm very satisfied by how Reaper worked for the sessions!!

Here is a small video about the recording sessions :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDiHuai-zWw

I wrote more on my website : http://www.spleenarcana.com/studio-....lbum-ii

Thanks for reading ;)
