Hi Everyone!
I'm new on this forum and i I want to share with You my interpretations of "Ambient Guitars" (Boxed Edition) and "Mastermind". I recorded my guitar and I put (mix) to oryginal Mike's records. I'm a beginner guitar player and in "Ambient Guitars" I was playing what I felt in that day, it was a litle improvisation.
Please write what You think about my interpretations.
I'm from Poland.
PS. Sorry my English isn't very good.

Hi Dominik M,

This excellent work for a beginner. I have been playing for 17 years and wish I was this good when I first started.

I thought your mix of Mastermind was very good with some great rocky licks thrown in.

Ambient Guitars mix was nice and laid back.

All in all very good work, I shall keep your mixes for my MO collection and listen to them again and again in the furture.

Well done and keep up the good work.

Mikex :)

Thanks for opinions and I'm happy that You would like to listen my work :) I have been playing on electric guitar for about 3 years, but regulary I was playing during this year, when I was able to take with me my guitar to the place when I study. I very like playing guitar, but I don't have enough time for this. I would like to play all the time :) I must reorganize my time and duties, and play more. Howewer Mike's music is with me almost all my life :D

Thank You.

Hey nice guitar overmixes! Your guitar (as well as being well played) in the Ambient Guitars mix really fits in with the rest of the mix well. Sounds like your recorded it in 1973 and the manor ;)! And I like your rendition of Mastermind! Actually makes me like the song more! :D Your phrasing in your guitar playing is very nice. Like your style.

Ah, I forgot to tell you my opinion after all...

I like your playing, especially on Ambient Guitars, it's surprisingly fitting. The Mastermind mix was a brave thing to do and I appreciate that. It's really not bad, though I feel the additional melody doesn't work too well with the constant ground-note (actually I don't know if I used the correct English word here). But still, it's enjoyable.

As Mikex already said: keep up the good work.

Thanks guys for opinions :)
EeToN you are right Mastermind mix have some mistakes I know about that. I wanted to play main guitar theme a litle bit differently (more dizzy than Mike) and oryginal guitar and mine giutar doesn't play parallel sometimes.
If you want I may put link to my last "guitar mix" but it isn't Oldfield remix. It is theme "Christus Vincit" played by Leszek Mozdzer (polish pianist) on record called "Piano". I recorded in home my giutar to his interpretation. If you want I may put it :)
Regards :)

Well, saying it has mistakes might be too harsh; it's only strange a little. ;)

Of course, we want to listen to your other mixes even if they're not Oldfield-influenced. But perhaps it then deserves another topic in the "Fan tracks" forum.
