On the German MOTS press release(thanks Holger),it appears the name of the orchestra thath played on the album - Sinfonia Sfera Orchestra - but I do think it's a pseudonmyn for another orchestra...

Yes, absolutely - spread the word!

We've put up that page as a kind of one stop shop for information on the album. We hope it'll be particularly good for casual browsers who don't visit the forum and don't want to sift through all the news items and of course it's also good for passing on to anyone who wants to know as much as possible about the album without having to read too much.

To put the banner on your website, all you need is the code below (thanks for putting it up on flickr, by the way, that should take a bit of strain off the tubular.net server)...

Code Sample
<a href=http://tubular.net/discography/MusicOfTheSpheres.shtml><img src=http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1057/1388172943_eb51bae879_o.jpg></a>

Now the banner shows a different picture. Looks slightly nicer, to me.

For anyone who's curious, the new banner is by Hans Claesson (the other one was a stopgap that I knocked together). Use whichever one you prefer - just make sure it links to http://tubular.net/discography/MusicOfTheSpheres.shtml

I've found another interesting info about the album here - the album is going to be released by Mercury,but...

Quote
"under exclusive license to Universal Classics and Jazz a division of Universal Music
Operations Ltd."

Bureaucracy, basically...Mike's contract is with Mercury, but UCJ is the division better suited to marketing a classical 'product'. So one licenses it to the other, even though they're essentially parts of the same company.

One weird, interesting thing I've seen on the Wikipedia article for the album (yeech?) seems quite funny to me. What with Mike's deeply philosophical view on the meaning of "Musica Universalis", the Latin term translated directly to English comes out as... *drumroll* ... Universal Music.

Makes me wonder why Mike never released a song back in the 70's, or 80's, called "Hasn't Had Sex Yet".

I thought it was an one-off release by one of the Universal Classics & Jazz labels.But..is it the second album of Mike from his 3-album contract with Mercury?

"He hinted that he may consider doing more classical albums."

Oooh if they're going to be as good as MOTS, then yes please. Just with more electric guitar if possible. :) Arghh... can't wait for the release...

If they release that cd case as a special edition - WOW!

But some-one either at the  record company or maybe a local radio station has no soul. Why sell such a rare and beautiful thing? And why risk your job as well?

My wife has told me I can't bid....   :(   :(   :(

Is it normal for EPK to hit such a big price as the one seen on this eBay auction? While it looks like a dream for any fan around the globe - price is a bit discouraging IMHO.
