It looks like a mix of Tubular Bells, Platinum, and Light + Shade!!!  :p

Like it!!!  Does Hans Claesson have any relation with the cover??

Yeah looks quite good. I'd re-do the writing though, its to big and it distracts from the actual image itself I think.

Here we go with Mr. Escher again, don't we? Take a look at his Cube with magic ribbons... the MotS artwork isn't quite so subtle, but the basic idea is there. ;) However, Escher or not Escher, IMHO it's really, really nice. (And no, I don't think this time Hans C. has anything to do with it.)

I have to say I find it quite intriguing...the more I look at it, the more I want to look at it. I think in a way, it's something that might work better as an LP cover - that would also allow it the writing to be smaller, as Toby suggested, without it becoming too small to read.

I have to say that whatever I expected, this wasn't it, but I like it. It's interesting that everyone here has liked it so far as well - it's not fared quite so well on the German forum, where there's been the usual chorus of "could have done better myself" and so forth (how come I never see people actually do better themselves?). It will of course look slightly different as a CD, as they almost always use a transparent media tray these days, allowing them to slip in something along the left hand side which can be very complimentary to the design.

I have no information on who designed it, unfortunately. We'll try to find out.

It's nice to see that everyone's appreciating these news updates. Of course I've seen the posts which say things like "now it's time for xyz..." and I can only say, we're working on it! We're quite aware of what everyone wants to know and are trying to make sure that Universal are aware of that as well. We hope things will continue to get more interesting as the release date approaches!

At three months, nine days, and seven hours to go (have I mentioned that I'm eager for this album??), this is wonderful to see - I think it looks great!

Two things immediately came to mind when I saw this topic:

1. I love the cover!
2. Tubular.net is doing VERY well for exclusives with this album - in my opinion, quite rightly so.

My initial thought also was: nice but too simple. However, it becomes more intriguing the more I look at it. Now it's up there with the best of MO covers :-)

Indeed, I think it's one of his best. It just looks so classy. I have to agree with Korgscrew as well, it's not at all what I expected, but it's a very nice surprise!

Oh, and what do Germans know, anyway? ;)

Looks excellent to me. I like the ambiguity of it: you can read it as multiple images of a planet orbiting a sun; or as a string of beads; or as ...etc...

It sort of reminds me of the "Time Machine" in the Movie Contact.. Well without Jodie Foster Installed !! lol.. Nice Colours bit "Tres Lunas" alike...  How about releasing it on Digipak much prefer that than the standard plastic case CD format !!

Wowww, thanks by the tubular.net exclusives!!!

The first time that I saw the cover not I liked. It seems too simple. But now, after seeing it more times, it is perhaps the custom, but I like more.

Greetings.
