Man On The Rocks entered UK album charts at No. 12, which is not so bad.
Does anyone have any information about how the new album is doing in other countries?

Well if Universal had not sold out of the box set before MOTR was even released then it may have made the Top 10 in the UK.

I had to buy mine though Amazon in Germany.

At least I helped to boost its chart position in Germany  :)

I fear that once all of us dedicated fans have shelled out, the album will quickly exit the UK charts. His biggest territories have always been European, where the general public still are aware of him and his music. So there may be more traction in those charts.

But here in teh UK general sales will soon drop off. Universal have done sterling work with getting the BBC radio 2 playlist, and some posters around London - but nothing beats teh old chat show TV sofa's - putting your face out there for a constant solid week of inane interviews. I wonder why Mike doesn't do that?  :p

The answer is 42 - but what is the question?

If he really wants to boost sales the best way to do that would be a European Tour.

Come on Mike - please :D

MOTR would sound great live  :)

Do you think Mike is interested in charts?

Number 12 is very good in my view, when you look at the rubbish in the charts it's up against.

I'm sure Mike's not that bothered about chart positions. But I imagine he is interested in how MOTR sells.

If if sells well, it will confirm to him that there is still an interest for his music, which will hopefully inspire him to keep making music in the future.  :)

Well, he posted a facebook message the other day where he said he was very happy about the album's chart position!  :D

That's him being polite, I honestly don't think he cares about the chart position, if the album went in at 40 or 1 it wouldn't change his decision to record more music!!
