Is it the words you're trying to transcribe?

Just from my own memory, I don't think there are any sensible words there - it's all just semi-random sounds. Perhaps the lyrics were based on things the young Molly said... wink

Trying to make sense of anything Mike's vocoded isn't usually very easy...If there are any sensible lyrics in there, I'd be interested to see what they are...

If you're trying to transcribe the music, that might not be so difficult. I'm not sure I'd necessarily be much help though.

Molly is a short vocoder thingy. A lot of the other songs on QE2 have crap vocodered to make sounds. Like Sheba.

I think it's actually a voice and a synth - crap doesn't tend to vocode very well. wink

Just listened to it. To me it sounds like 'washy, shawy, wany, shashy' and so on. I don't know if that makes any sense. :D

I've always loved the track Molly, it's short but very gentle and soothing to me. I'm suprised Mike hasn't played it on a radio show or something, or incorporated the melody into another track somewhere. It's probably deep in the mix of Amarok somewhere :)

I always thought it was a coil tapped Gibson L6-S electric guitar being played clean through a Roland VP330 Vocoder though maybe with Mike's voice being the modulator.
