- Sentimental [The one many people noticed...]

- The source of the secrets

(All of the following are on the inner part of the cover.)

- Snth keyboards [Was this supposed to be "Synths and keyboards" ? ;)]

- Bass: Laurance Cottle

- Percussion: [...] Alasdair Malloy [AFAIK his name is Alistair. They wrote it wrong both times - see below.]

- Banjo/Mandolin: John Pa(t)ricelli [T missing.]

- Singers: Suzannah Melvoin, Jackie Quin(n) [second N missing], Linda Taylor (and...???) [Fourth singer's name missing, although it is present in the end titles.]

- Special thanks to: Cherry Gil(l)espie [Second L missing... maybe. :) If I'm wrong on this or any other of the items below (and above), please correct me. ;) ]

- Drums (on TBIII): Ian Thomas (Plays Zi(l)dijan cymbals) [L missing.]

- Percussion (on TBIII): Jody Lin(d)scott [D missing] and [once again] Alastair Malloy [See above.]

- Vocals (on TBIII) [...] Rosa Cedron [Accent missing over the O.  :) ]

...Well, as you can see, the people at Warner were f*cking careless when making this cover... and I am a f*cking nitpicker.  :D

Completely OT: there's a big mistake in the inner booklet of Metallica's S&M DVD. The tracklistings for Discs 1 and 2 are inverted, i.e. the tracklist for Disc 2 is on the second page (right behind the front cover) and the tracklist for Disc 1 is on the second-to-last page. Another example of clear carelessness.  :)

Pardon me Ugo for being a nitpicker too, but isn't that 'They'? :)

First time I noticed 'Sentimental' though. How strange. I wonder if Dave Laing was responsable :)

Alasdair Malloy is the correct spelling - all others are wrong. John 'Paricelli' ought to be Parricelli, not Patricelli.

Thanks so much for this, Richard. It goes to show my complete ignorance of how English names are supposed to be. :D

I'm sure Sentimental was supposed to be called that for the DVD. Wasn't it also called that on the VHS that was released?

I thought it was a tiny interesting twist - just a slightly different name for the live version.

Yeah, that Sentimental thing bothers me since I got this otherwise great DVD... Was it meant to be re-named for this release, or is it just a mistake?

Another thing: I think that the cover should reveal WHEN the concerts were filmed! At least putting the YEAR for each performance wouldn't have been too much trouble...

Yes, it says "Premiere" performance, but in fact I didn't know that the first concerts was filmed back in 1992(?) before I watched it. I mean, the first time 'Tubular Bells 2' was performed in its entirety live, could have been in 1999, at the same time as 'Tubular Bells 3', right?
Then when you look at it you notice that Mike's age and look had changed from TB 2 to TB 3...
Also, why are all the pictures in the booklet from the 'TB 3' concert?

Actually, Alasdair is a pretty unusual English name as far as I've heard, I've only ever heard of people called Alistair.

I was wondering about the bookled photos only being from TB3 myself. When I first got this DVD it was one of the very first things of Mike's that I'd ever got and the only picture I'd ever seen of him was with short hair on the Five Miles Out inner sleeve. He has short hair on the TB3 concert as well, so when I stuck on the TB2 concert and he came on with long hair I didn't know who he was. I didn't recognise him at all.  :)

Alasdair and Alisdair are both accepted Scottish versions of the name.

Also, when you run the DVd, the menu shows 'The Sentinel' in the chapter options.

Nothing can beat, however, the release of "Islands" which gave the long instrumental the name "The Wind Crimes".

@ Hillbilly & Raven: maybe it was Mike himself who didn't want pics of him from his TBII concert... maybe he thought he looked very ugly :). IMHO he didn't. :D

@ TanGram: the reason for the title being correct on the menu [well, not entirely correct... that "The" is not supposed to be there! :D] and wrong on the box may be that the box was printed later than the disc. ;)

@ Hiawatha: show me. :)

Isn't "Linscott" correct? At least Google lists 874 results for "Jody Linscott" but only 84 for "Jody Lindscott"

It looks like Linscott is actually right. :) The mistake is mine, and most probably arises from the fact that I've seen her credited as Lindscott in at least three other DVD releases. However, All Music Guide lists at least three other (wrong) surnames for her. :)
