Do you mean that sound very together, just like "Mybit"?? That´s the original way Mike sings in the song, also in L.P. version. A little strange, I know, but it´s not from the remastered issue wink

yes that's what i was aiming...so it's not any recording error...he just sings in that way. now that i started asking questions: in the remastered version of CRISES there's no FOREIGN AFFAIR written on the back cover. again...is it just my cd or have they just forgotten it when remastering the covers.

No, theweightless, it's not just your CD. The missing "Foreign Affair" is just one of many errors found in the HDCD remaster booklets and covers. For a listing of some that have been found, have a look here:

I think theweightless is talking about this mix mistake : I wantmyb-eat

See The Complete Mike Oldfield Reference Guide, easily found on tubular.net :

10. Funny digital edit in the song Gimme Back (Heaven's Open). I can only assume that MO had to mix 2 takes together, but it does sound a bit wrong.
Thanks to Rory Ewins. 1'53 - Gimme Back (I want my b-eat)

I don't think it was a mistake - I think it was a deliberate joke.
Thesog is about how Virgin made him record studd that wasn't "him";  line is about "I want my beat" - and he deliberately chopped it so that the beat doesnt quite work.
