Marc Bolan's was the Fender Telecaster, which was the TB electric guitar, and it was also featured on the re-recording of TB.

It was auctioned a while ago,and its proccedings from the action went for SANE(the same charity Mike has chosen to help regarding two years of sales from Changeling)

The red/white one was a Fender Stratocaster,and it was sold a while ago for £ 30,000  :O

I like the PRS one the best. So cool looking, and sounding. Although it doesn't really sound any different from a Les Paul I saw him use in the 1980 Knebworth video I watched again tonight. Yeah, that's right....I watch it also for the babe in the red jump suit, sue me. This was true when I got the VHS circa 1984. Some months ago I bought a Parker Fly. The top of the line $3000 black cherry model. My thinking was: OK you had permanent nerve damage on the left side from that 1973 brain tumor. You owe yourself the best, so save, save, and buy it. Truth is, it's the most precision instrument I ever held. But......I've decided to let it go. I got an offer since it's so new, not much less than what I paid. Nerve damage is done whether you have a $200 Squier Strat or Parker Fly. If you can never play fast, you rely on gimmickry and FX, and in that case the git is irrellevant, your listening to FX. But for you real shredders, I cant reccomend a better guitar. Buy this thing if you can save up for it, it's great. The man I'm selling it to comes Saturday. I really don't have any regrets, but it was so well made. Bye Parker. I do plan to take some of that money and buy an Ibanez I've been looking at.

It was in fact more pink than red. If you take a look at the instruments section of this site, you will see the real colour of it.

No, it wasn't.

It was estimated between £25,000 and 35,000 but didn't sell.

So it's still available!

:)

The white base coat of the Stratocaster was a later addition and it's because of this white base coat that most of the original 1960s 'Fiesta Red' Stratocasters still around have faded to a salmon-pink colour.

Sorry to say but that one's been sold.  :(

And I very much doubt that the lucky owner will ever give it away.

@Scatterplot.I've tried a few Parkers but i can't seem to get over the overtly 'high tech' thing.I'm afraid i like my old style guitars.I love my Fender Strat to bits.Although i play acoustic all the time. And no bowl backs for me.Gotta be all wood.
As for the strat it's actually a refinish, probably done by the English distributer who imported it when it was new.The story goes that at the time UK importers could only get sunburst strats and everyone wanted a strat like Hanks. So Selmer (I think)resprayed directly over the original sunburst finish, using a white base coat.If you look at pictures of Mike's one you can see patches on the lower side where the original finish is peeking through.A very dark borwn/black colour.Although we have already had this discussion a while back i'm sure this is what happened.
And IMHO either Ray or Ugo have said guitar hidden under their bed

I want the SG.plain and simple little guitar living with Yannick. At least it's with a fan.(starts sobing uncontrolably).
I think the pink strat was Mike's second strat. He's seen playing the sunburst one on the Moonlight Shadow vid.Any one know what happened to that one?
