I think it's fantastic that there is a book to look forward to. And I feel it says a lot about Mike that he wants to do this. I kind of understand why there was minimal publicity for Light & Shade now.

Good luck to Mike with the book. I think it will do well, all those that have bought the Platinum Collection on a whim may be tempted to buy the autobigraphy too. It goes without saying that we'll ( us here ) all be in the bookshops when it's released! But to think it could reach a broader audience is great.

He does have a fascinating story to tell for sure. Anyone who can create music like that can't be boring can they?!

And for the title, well that's going to be interesting. No doubt a little humour? And the cover, well I hope the chap who did the L&S photos is involved, Andy Carne, some very distinctive images from him, that would catch your eye in a book shop ( or internet site )

Feel very positive about the whole era ahead, actually with a nod of respect to the past!

bee :)

From Dark Star on 23/02/2006:

Mike has completed collaboration with Jon Collins, who is now writing Mike's autobiography for publishing later this year.

Presumably however long it takes a ghost writer to re-write it. A year or so I would have thought

The problem is not with Mike, but with Jon Collins which seems to me busy with other stuff alongside doing his part on Mike's autobio.

Mike had said in January 2006,  "....This is nearing completion with the help of my co writer Jon Collins and hopefully will be published this year if not early next." April may have come up as a date, but his earlier projection makes more sense, publisher-wise. Does anyone know if it will be Helter Skelter Publishing like the other books by J.C.? I don't find hide nor hair of it there.

The holidays or Proms would be good timing, IMHO. Nice for some book signings. :)
