Well, it says that after you registered you will get a confirmation email to complete the registration.

Aye, this bothers me the most. If we won't get the confirmation the registration might just expire. Maybe they got some problem with their automatic e-mail script.

OK! Here is the thing!

I registered on my home email and NOTHING!

I registered on my work email and WITHIN SECONDS I got a reply to activate my 'account'. Then I got another email with a neat MOTS screensaver as a welcome pressie.

The email address of the 'activation' message was do_not_reply@inbound.vice-versa.info
This is going to be stuck in 99% of all spam filters - surely!!!

I can only hope that they realise that NOBODY is activating their 'account' and realise they have a problem.....

GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS!!

Sounds like all it's doing is signing people up to the same old marketing mailing list. That would be why some people aren't getting any confirmation emails (the other reason may be that their system isn't very good, which wouldn't surprise me in the least).

I doubt there'll be any priority system at all, especially considering how they've probably already got a few thousand people signed up to that list.

I'd also like to know what date of birth has to do with anything (actually, I know precisely what they want it for, and it has nothing to do with helping people buy copies of the boxed set...they're just harvesting data).

The BUY section.

I did get a reply in seconds....

BUT it was my work email.. It did not work with my home email.... mystery.

Like Korgscrew said, this is indeed the same email address as the Universal mailing list. Explains why we didn't get a confirmation email, if we already signed up for it.

It would appear you can now no longer access the 'old' mikeoldfield.com site. :/ Does this mean all the MusicVR stuff is gone for good? (I hope not! )

The site is still there, most of it can be accessed if you use http://www.mikeoldfield.com/news.php as a starting point.

There is some pondering going on at the moment between a few people about how to ensure the MusicVR stuff stays available in the future. Would be a shame if it did disappear!

That's very curious. I could have sworn that it wasn't there a few minutes ago. I know when you visit the old homepage it should redirect to the new site - it wasn't doing that for me. And it wasn't displaying the old sub pages either (news, musicVR, store etc.).
Yet now it is... Hmm. Just a temporary glitch perhaps.

And there's no clue when they are going to sell the autographed TB Ultimate Version...getting too anxious here.
