I visited Glastonbury once, and while a fascinating, almost mystical place, it does attract a large amount of crazy people. It would be easy for a celebrity to feel uncomfortable there, I should think.

To be frank with you ns, I'm not a big poem fan. Poems often strike me as a little bit gay :p  But I really do love this quote. I speak highly of nature, it's a thing I'm really passionate about. I also like the poems of John Donne. I haven't read that poem you told me about, but I'll look it up. I always enjoy references.

That reminds me of Ugo's recent comment about Andrew Lloyd Webber. "I can't stand ALW, except of course Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat, Evita, Cats, Starlight Express...."

....if you would have say this in a French forum , gay associations would have filed a complaint against you and you would probably be fined very quick !

EDIT:

In fact i'm ok to laugh about everything but in our world now that's unfortunately not the case for everybody ! ..in France anyway !

 i like poems and be sure i like girls too !!!

:/ ..well " fined" , it means to pay something ? isn't it right ? ..that's what i would meant ...well in fact maybe not fined but surely a complaint for abusive language !

you know France is bizarre since a lot of time now ! this is the time of the " politically correct / right-on "

you can't say " un homme noir , un noir = a black man , a black"  but " un homme de couleur = a colored man  "  :D

you easily can see there , the stupidity of the ones who are thinking for you .... :D

That actually makes me glad to live in America - which I usually complain about. What about free speech?

But on the other hand, people are much more polite in France (so I hear), the food is excellent and French women are beautiful. :) So I guess you have to weigh your priorities. :D

;) Maybe you're right about polite people but only in the countryside ... Parisians are awful ( and i know what i'm talking about because of my job )and often this is the same in the other French big cities !

..so you can go here in France for holidays but please not in big cities !...they are not the ... " real France "

...again food is excellent only in the countryside where it is produced !

  ..and finally French women are more beautiful in the countryside where they are not too much " sophisticated" ...i don't say they are " easy"   but they're surely not haughty !!!

In the case you not understood , i love countryside ! :p

But even in America you should say native American instead of Indian, I believe? Such stupidity. First they kill all the Indians then they say, you know what? saying Indian to those people is offensive let's call them native Americans. The irony.

Gay seems to be a word under generational change.

Go back 50 years...Happy.

Go back 30 years...Homosexual.

Today the kids use it to describe something that's lame.

Go forward another 20 years... and it will probably mean it rained last Thursday

You're right Milamber, there is a southpark episode wherein the boys try to change the meaning of fag, instead of meaning homosexual to describing Harley Davidson riders.

It's very slightly politically incorrect to say Indian, American Indian is better and yes, Native American is the most politically correct.

But of course, as I've expressed before, in my opinion, words are just words, and the real problem is the hatred behind them.

And of course it's ironic, we treated the natives like shit, and now we act like we've been so benevolent by letting them live on reservations! In a way though, they are getting a bit of a last laugh, as they have tribal sovereignty, they're able to establish casinos and other businesses with much less government interference than they would if they didn't live on the reservations (of course, whether that's a good thing or not is up for debate).

I'll make sure and visit the countryside should I ever travel to France, then (and I hope to). :)

In Australia it's politically incorrect to call the aborigines "natives". And in Western Australia the aborigines think it's insulting to be called "aborigines"; they insist on being called "aboriginals". There's craziness on both sides.
