Don't you think that getting rid of possesions can cleanse the soul?!

Mike's still got loads of guitars and the fact e's just bought a load of new ones has to be a good sign.

She must have the one with air conditioning and a bar in the back for that price!!!

Pity I didnt see it for sale until too late. That would have been a nice buy for Christmas!

But he is losing the strat man. Thats got an absolutely gorgeous tone thanks to the year those pickups originate.. I somewhat disagree with his "Great guitars coming from japan these days" quote... because I have had three japanese guitars, and only one of those three were worth using.. still not worth the money spent.

Well, What can you do I suppose...

I hope he regrets selling it  :(

Getting rid of percussions almost certainly can. ;)

I can remember Mike saying, that he bought the Martin 00-21 (with a hyphen, not a dot!;) in Los Angeles around 1992.

Here are some pics. It´s the one on the right on the cd label (between the recently sold red Fender Stratocaster and the PRS).

It´s definitely been used on Tubular Bells 2003 and from the pictures taken as well on Guitars.

:p

That ties in with the photo that was in one of the pockets of the guitar case showing a photo of mike playing the Martin.  There is also a detailed itinery of his PR trip to Austrailia from the same year.

It is a very nice guitar.  I played it alternately with my Taylor 910 and the Martin has a far nicer sound.

I have to send it back to Martin to get the dot change to a hyphen though.   ;)

Ray, will you share the photo that was in one of the pockets of the guitar case?

As long as the neck hasn´t been broken during shipment :( I don´t see any reason for it to be sent back!

Look at here: http://tubular.net/instruments/

I can see two Fender Stratocaster:
-Stratocaster salmon pink 1961 sold for £30,000 via Chandler Guitars in Dec 07
-Stratocaster fiesta red 1962

Is it not the same guitar?

:/

Having only just seen this thread, I was amazed at the 30,000 price tag for the pink strat.
So I did a search to see I if could find the going rate for a similar 61 stat model, alas after 10 or 15 mins I give up.

But I came across a rather interesting link in googles cache from 3rd of Dec......

Chandlers

I’m assuming these are all Mikes but don’t know for sure.  Man £395 for a squire who could complain?

That´s amazing. None of us seem to have noticed these guitars going up for sale. So there´s not that much left to be played as I assumed.

:/

Pictures of all the guitars that went on sale have been posted on the istrument list.

Enjoy!

:)
