The Gibson TV is the one used throughout the Exposed video

That guitar is actually the yellow Gibson Ls6 Duluxe because even though the yellow Gibson Ls6 and yellow Gibson Tv look similer the yellow Gibson Tv has only 22 frets wheras the yellow Gibson Ls6 Duluxe amongst other things has 24 frets like on the "Exposed video".

The yellow Gibson Tv appears in two shots in addition to the Fender Stratocaster and the cherry red Gibson sg on the "Shadow On The Wall" video on the "Elements Dvd".

Mike Oldfield also used a variation of the yellow Gibson Ls6 as well on the "Exposed video" which is a black Gibson Ls6 Custom.  :)  :)

I dont think this is correct.  The Yellow Gibson Les Paul Junior TV has 24 frets.    Ray

I think I saw a picture of Mike with a gibson LP double cutaway, it looked white or very light coloured in the picteu but I can tfind the picture again.  Have you seen it?

Also what the gen on these guitars, is it just a Junior with two cutaways?

That guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Special which is a late 1950s variation of a 1950s double cuttaway Gibson Les Paul Junior.

It is one of Mike Oldfield's third most used guitars in the period from "Hergest Ridge" to "Tubular Bells II".

There is a picture of it here...

I have posted a couple of scans of it on the instrument list along with some interesting pics of other guitars.

I doubt Mike has ever posessed the Les Paul Special for I have only seen it on the promotional shots for the sports company Puma in 1984.

Chandlers have done an update.  There's still a couple for sale, including a relatively cheap Washburn.  See

Now we know why he has sold his guitars - in the interview video on the Millenium bell DVD you can se his studio with all the guitars hanging on the walls - ofcourse he has moved to a listed building and he would need planning permission to drill holes for all the guitar holders!!!!!!  Not easy to get for a listed building.  (for those over seas - a listed building is one which is on a list of special buildings with historical interest or very unusual archtecture - you are not allowed to alter these buidling without special permission from the local authority)

I'm sure its the Washburn Classical that was for Sale right at the start of the process - Chandlers sent me some pictures but I went for the Ramirez.  The Washburn was a bit damaged by Mike strumming, but Mike said it had been used on the Discovery tour, so quite old.
Anyone interestsed in the piccies?
Is this item not for Sale now then?

Mikes Telecaster has just been put up on eBay again by another seller in the United States (Lancaster, Ohio) who has just signed in to eBay (Thank you Yanouch65).

There is no reserve price. The seller will ship to the States only.

Mike Oldfield Original 1967 Fender Telecaster Guitar

Does anybody have an idea what has happened to the guitar in the meantime? :O

Checked the link, and it was invalid.

It doesn't sound good the way this classic guitar is being selled on the web.Whydid Chandlers let this happen?
