Well I was blown away by that! A wonderful opening ceremony and MO got a fair chunk of it. Sounds like he influenced some of the earlier music too - be interesting to know. But I'm delighted with his contribution. :)

That was *awesome* really didn't expect Mike to have such a long slot and input. Fantastic and fitted with the show really well :)

Yeah I thought that too. Underworld's music for it is sounding great. The track with the bell sound they used is an edit from a track called Two Months Off.

Well impressed with Mike's contribution, what fantastic coverage and an honour for him.

How is it possible that nobody has known this before?

I only had time to recognise Alasdair Malloy - and someone looked a bit like Charles Hazlewood, but fairly sure it's not!

She didn't make any mention about her dad's being part of it all, in any of her latest tweets... I would have expected she was proud of him and had made at least some kind of mention of it.

Haven't seen it due to the evil NBC time-delay in the USA, but I am soooo proud of our team Mike!! How absolutely wonderful and many congratulations! Looking forward to an hour and half from now!

They might have seen Mike's nude magazine cover as discus thrower, so they can't take any risks... who knows what that crazy nudist could do :D

(nightmares of Janet Jackson & Superbowl influencing things...)

I like our comentators most of the time. But this time i just shouted at the telly. "Shut the F*** UP!"
Really looking forward to some clean videos to revisit the performance properly this time. :)
But I loved the idea. Brilliant!

A bit disapointed that no TARDIS landed during the show...
But that's just a small thing.

And James Bond and Rowan Atkinson were just FANTASTIC!

From NME (http://www.nme.com/news/dizzee-rascal/65184/photo/10#12):

Mike Oldfield then played a 20 minute set which included soundtracking a section of the ceremony dedicated to the NHS with a swing version of his classic 'Tubular Bells' as well as 'In Dulci Jubilo'.
