Found nothing on this - releases credited to 'Mike Oldfield Group'. I presume this was a Euro marketing tool:

I don't know about any other releases, but I wonder if the intention was to release Five Miles Out under that name at some point. The reason my thought have been going in that direction is that the track sheet for Taurus II says "Mike Oldfield Groop" (sic).

The "groop" does have a lot of songwriting credits on that album compared to the others ones.

Here are the maxi and ordinary singles respectively - identical in content - courtesy of Felix's collection at argiers. There's also this page at Discogs which as far as I know does confirm that these are all studio versions, untouched by the guitar playing of Tim Renwick. My guess is that one sleeve came before the other corrected it - either way round seems possible, and I would think that is it does mark the "Group's" sole cover credit. Happy as ever to bow to the knowledge of wiser Tubularians!

Tim Renwick does at least get a good write-up in this review of the tour from Melbourne, which is linked to from his Wikipedia entry.
