...at least that's what that shouting you hear in those more 'catchy' orchestral parts sounds to me - any other opinion ? Any interpretation - maybe another reference to R.B. ?

Actually, it's probably "F-You!", and most definately a reference to Richard Branson

... and at the very end of it someone says 'F*ck off!', most probably referring to the very same person. ;)

what i understand there is 'big field' and since 'mftb' could be a piece of music describing in some way a jungle or a wood (there are voices which sound like the sound of birds) it made some sense to me
but u may be right... imho there are at least references to r.b. in one of the songs: 'mister shame', maybe also in 'make make' so, it's possible... but i would have never thought it's 'f-you' what it's said in mftb

It might be 'breakfast', a reference to 'breakfast in bed', Richard Branson's suggested title for Tubular Bells, for which he had artwork featuring a boiled egg with blood instead of yolk pouring out. This picture, in altered form, is on the Heaven's Open cover...

Listening two years on, in a moment of quiet concentration, the words leapt out: big fish. The -sh is quite clear on some occasions. Who knows why it's 'big fish'. I suspect we're not meant to ask...

"Big Fish" sounds like a good guess.

At times, I have thought it was:

"Batsh*t"
"Sassy" (it IS the Sassy Choir, I think?)
"Batfish"

I mentioned my idea in the Platinum topic that the word is "Backflash!" as the album seems to be a backflash to Virgin.

Gosh, I haven't listened to this album in years.  So I just got it out and put it on.  Am listening to MFTB right now, waiting to hear the Big Fish lyrics.  Right now all I have is monkeys.  I don't actually recall hearing this song before.  I guess I never made it this far into the album.

I'm 100% sure it's 'Damn I love my new keyboard folks'

Listen carefully and you'll hear it

Quote (Korgscrew @ Jan. 08 2006, 01:52)
I suspect we're not meant to ask...

While giving this another try, today, I was highly confused by those mysterious words. But you're probably right. And, considering my ongoing struggle with "Music From The Balcony", it's really the least of my concerns.
