I enjoyed the Kim Wilde version of To France - thanks for posting it, Olivier - but I do agree there's something strained and tight about the singing.

But what really drew me here was seeing that The Big Bell End had posted, and that brought a smile. So I wanted to say hello, TBBE, and I hope you're OK.

Cheer's Alan D, I'm never far away from tubular net, but I don't post as often.
Glad to see that you are still here as well as all the regular contributor's.

Listening to Kims 3rd & 4th Albums Catch as Catch Can & Tease & Dares  83 & 84 with a Label Change in Between Im Struck how Mix and Match a lot of the Tracks are..It  Feels like Youre on the Set of Bladerunner or on a Spaceship Set on quite a few tks  .. Id say these Two are My Fav Albums ..
Appears the UK Stations have given her the elbow now and shes having to ply her trade in Germany..  Like a Few others  ..Funny How they seem to like the retro acts more over on the Continent...

Finally I've also listened to the 'Snapshot' album and I really enjoyed the version of To France. You can't compare it directly to Maggie's singing but have to see it as an independent interpretation as a real pop song. For me Kim Wilde represents the incarnation of pop in its best way and the album contains further well succeeded cover songs.

According to this week's Sunday Telegraph magazine (I don't buy it, it comes free with my Pressreader...) a typical Saturday evening for Kim is spent, inexplicably not in frenzied passion with me but with "...a bit of Mike Oldfield and [I] go the whole hog, burning candles and some incense". I wonder when she's feeling more lively if she plays air guitar to the solos on Ommadawn and Incantations?

Kim has mentioned loving Ommadawn several times, she seems to be quiet a fan of Mike.

An obvious track for her to do would be "Kids in Hergest Ridge"
