Lacking the fluency, I don't often trawl the French internet for fun.  The link above does let me see why the hearts of L'Académie française must be breaking.  2CD?  Witness the compromise, if not defeat, of le disque compact!  Thank heavens for le téléchargement!

Alas, the official for CD is cédé, and mail is supposed to be mél. And Darth Vader is Dark Vador.

- Downloads are replacing CDs

As long as CDs exist, downloads will always be a kind of last resort for me. :)

Same here!!!  :)

You should let Scatterplot know! My gripe with Jarre is that his electronic sounds are too simplistic and his melodies too obvious. I also hate the video of Oxygene where he plays golf with planet earth.

HA...I suppose you haven't seen a Jarre concert yet personally...

Anyway if you don't like him, you don't buy this album. Simple as that.

Good point, seeing him live explains: playing with gloves require simplistic melodies.

Why would one want to watch a Jarre video?

Either way, I'm still unsure on Jarre's melodies being "obvious": many excellent melodies are very obvious... after having been written.

He is doing hardware too now: http://www.jarre.com/AeroSystem-One-Ipod-Speaker-Dock

The last speaker I bought has a similar ethereal name: Zeppelin Air.

I generally like his videos, because they are like winamp plugins, lights synchronized to the music, contrary to the other guys who show you distracting movies that have nothing to do with the music.
